Your little book of spells
A fruity, fizzy, non alcoholic Halloween punch for kids and grown-ups. Makes 12 small servings in about 10 minutes.
Start with cold juice and soda. Set out a clean punch bowl with space for stirring.
Stir the two juices together. For a brighter green, add food coloring one drop at a time until you like the shade.
Gently pour in the soda just before serving. Add lime slices if you like, then ladle into cups. Serve ice separately to avoid diluting the bowl.
Replace white grape juice with apple juice in the same amount. Swap lemon-lime soda for sparkling water for a less sweet drink. Juice color will change the final shade; food coloring is optional.
Chill the unopened drinks ahead of the party. Mix the juices in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator on the day of serving. Keep soda separate until the last minute for the best fizz.
Keep unused punch covered in the refrigerator and follow the shortest storage guidance on your juice labels. Carbonation fades after mixing, so make smaller batches and top up as needed. Discard drinks left in guests’ cups.
All three recipes are alcohol-free. Check ingredient labels for your guests’ dietary needs. Keep paper decorations outside the drinks and let adults handle garnishing for younger children.
